Iliana says "I can do what every normal person can."
Sorry dear, but no you cannot. You can't watch new movies that contain violence or swearing. You can't visit relatives who used to be of the same religion as you. You can't get drunk with your girlfriends. In fact you can't make friends who aren't in your religion. You cannot celebrate your birthday. Or buy a Christmas gift for your friends. Or go to a friend's child's christening in a church. Etc, etc.
In short, Iliana, there is very little that you can do that a normal person can do without a second thought. Which might be funny except it is very very sad for you.

Introduction
by inactive1 ini have been in crisis regarding the international problem of the way child abuse has been handled in the wt organization.
i have been dealing with serious health issues that made it necessary for me to go on permanent disability since 2015. since then my health has gotten worse making it nearly impossible to attend meetings.
in this period i have received no spiritual or other help of any kind.

Inactive 1.
Your experience is not unique. I too had to go on permanent disability, and as a result came off as an elder. It was during this period that I discovered that my former friends, elders, and brothers couldn't give a damn about me as a person since I was no longer able to attend meetings or share in the field service. I became the invisible Man.
The fact that I already had serious doubts about the organisation as I had seen things from the inside, and then could not believe the lies being spun by those who had never liked me on the Body of Elders as to why I was no longer serving, made my departure arrive faster than I had planned.
My biggest regret is the number of years which I dedicated to this crap! I wish you well my friend on your journey. The more you read the more you will discover that is shocking about an organisation that you once believed in fully.

@The Fall Guy.
A videoed speaker? Whatever happened to audience contact? (as taught in the TM school in the past). How on earth can a videoed speaker interact with the people who are listening.... Don't they trust local elders to give these talks anymore?

Lost in the fog
I still struggle with the fact that the universe has no end to it.
In other words there's a lot of things that blow my mind and I can't explain.
Since disavowing the JWs version of events I have put God into the same box, full of quandaries and perplexities that I find difficult to comprehend.
To each his own, if you believe I am OK with that, if you don't believe I am OK with that also.

Brain Teaser
by BourneIdentity ini’ve always wondered about this one.
if the bible says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous, does that mean all mankind that have died will come back to life?
if so, what’s the incentive for jws to have an urgency to preach and save people?

Lost in the fog
I can remember a Zone Overseer's talk where he said that natural disasters like the floods in Pakistan and India where many people lost their lives was probably Jehovah’s way of ensuring that people who would never get the chance of a witness now would have the opportunity to hear the truth after their resurrection in the New World. (Thunderous applause from the audience).
A scary thought if you ask me....

Holy Spirit - Present or Gone in the Congregations?
by BourneIdentity ini was doing some reminiscing and remember the days back in the late 80s and early 90s where i truly could say the meetings were so encouraging and that i felt the holy spirit present and operating on all of us.
today when i attend, there is nothing of the sort.
is it because jehovah has withheld it?

Lost in the fog
A friend of ours in Australia has stopped going to the meetings because of seeing the problems in the congregation there. They were bold (or crazy) enough to announce the fact on their Facebook page. Immediately the posts started rolling in either urging them to go back, to seek out the elders, or criticizing them for not opposing the Devil.
The post that really made me laugh was the one which said, "Oh you have to return to the congregation's Kingdom Hall because it's the only place in the world where Jehovah is with his Holy Spirit."
And I thought how ignorant of Bible knowledge the writer must be for Christ said that God does not dwell in handmade temples. And besides if you believe in God as the Almighty One then HE is God over every creation, not inside one tiny building and His holy spirit is working across the globe. It's laughable that anyone can think God is somehow anchored above each Kingdom Hall and nowhere else.
